Question:
Awhile back I read that coffee could have a negative effect on E.D.
Does anyone know if this is true and why this would be? Does it matter
the volume of coffee per day? I assume that it is the caffeine in the
coffee. Does this mean that tea is also off-limits? Though I am
addicted to espresso, I would be willing to give it up to (hopefully)
help improve my problem, but is it possible to substitute with Decaf
coffee beans?
Answer:

search using (+penis erection +effect of caffeine +2001) and came up with
this...Had I not limited searched to 2001 citations perhaps there would have
been more definitive citations on caffeine.

arterial, wall, smooth muscles.

Scroll way down for material on caffeine.
Caffeine - Numerous studies have been conducted to
explore the connection between caffeine, sex and reproduction. Moderate
coffee drinking has no harmful effects. In laboratory studies caffeine was
shown to boost the speed and motility of sperms in a petri dish, when
applied directly to the semen samples.>
One study has shown that elderly people who drink coffee are more likely to
be sexually active than coffee abstainers.>
Probably if one is concerned that caffeine might be having a negative
effect....doing a simple experiment of several weeks may give you an answer.
